Jacquelyn Ellerton

Jacqui Ellerton trades as Jac-Q-Lyn Bears. She has been designing and making her art bears for over 10 years. Jacqui’s bear craze has turned in the last 9 years from an addictive hobby into a fulltime passion. She is best known for her wacky style of bears which have her signature tell tale signs of eyelids with enameled eyes, sculpted faces and paw pads, embellished with airbrushing and not forgetting droopy ears.

Bear making has enabled her to travel to Japan demonstrating bear making within a large department store. In 2009 she was fortunate to win an URSA AWARD for one of her Toy-Box Treasures and in 2010. She is proud to have won another URSA award for her Urchins. Jacqui has been featured in numerous teddy bear publications throughout her art career and also commissioned to create her art for a TV ad for a very large American company. At the moment she is in the process of writing an on-line book all about her Urchins (The Guardians of the Forest) and their friend Osric with his dog called Bramble, her husband Darren is doing all the illustrations for her. Jacqui has a unique approach to her art that she shares with you through her loveable characters.
