Cupie Carnival Doll

This cutie from the 30's has molded bob hairdo that has been painted gold! Her 4.5" body is frozen but she has short standout arms that are jointed at shoulders. I feel her arms are a bit short in proportion but this is the way the Cupie or Carnival  style was done. She has iridescent gold painted shorts that have a V detail at the hem on both sides. Her face has wonderful painted features including eyelashes, brows blushed cheeks and a poutie sweetheart mouth. Her body has an original painted cream color which at first I thought was dirt since it was not white bisque that you normally see in frozen dolls but you can see on bottom of feet it was painted. "MADE IN JAPAN" is clearly defined in the mold on her back as well as a oval shape on her right heel that was done at factory. This doll is in great shape with only a bit of paint wear showing on the front of the gold shorts and a few highlighted curls.  This is a standout with the gold bob hair, the attention to detail on the face and the fact that body was pre painted. A winner for your collection!
